ZO Skin Health :: New Start-Up Business Network

ZO Skin Health is a premiere Cosmetic Skin Line derived from Zein Obagi's Medical Skin Line, headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA. This new business will bring Dr. Obagi's products to national department stores such as Sax Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

Client Requirements

  • Open new satellite office in San Diego within 3 weeks in time to host an important business meeting with senior managers from Beverly Hills headquarters
  • Rewire retail space (no cabling installed) to accommodate network infrastructure requirements
  • Install multiple workstations (Mac and PC), specialized printing option for graphic designer, network infrastructure including a new server, email and Internet access
  • Provide employees with the ability to work remotely

Project Issues

Ping IT encountered major scheduling difficulties with AT&T. We rearranged the installation schedule several times and worked nights to meet our deadlines.

One of the laptops we purchased from Dell was delayed repeatedly. We provided a loaner laptop to the office so the team could complete their hectic travel schedule and not miss a step.

Outcomes

ZO Skin Health has a state-of-the-art network that has grown with the office. They are now up to 15 workstations (from 5 initially) and we are about to help them move offices again because they need more space!

Ping IT has been contracted to serve as ZO Skin Health's Virtual IT Department. We manage their San Diego office, remote locations and provide remote help to employees traveling across the country.

Law Offices of Lugar & Pohl :: Business Relocation

Law Offices of Lugar & Pohl provides Family Law representation and mediation for neighbors in the San Diego area.

Client Requirements

  • Plan and install cabling in the new office space
  • Relocate and set up current IT infrastructure including new workstations and network
  • Design and set up new network infrastructure

Project Issues

The new office space had no cabling. Ping IT developed a comprehensive plan to outline all cabling runs, electrical outlet placements, and planning for future growth.

Ping IT needed to schedule the move to ensure the least amount of downtime for the firm.

Ping IT was tasked with reconfiguring a 'cobbled together' network into an efficient, reliable network.

Outcomes

Ping IT met with new building supervisor during the months before the move-in to ensure the cabling project, DSL set-up and other IT related requirements were properly completed by the move in date.

Ping IT picked up and moved all equipment from old office to new office - set up, tested, configured and got the office running ahead of schedule.

Ping IT serves as Lugar & Pohl's virtual IT department and manages the firm's computers, laptops, scanners, email, internet, Novell and Microsoft software.
